Example of speaker calculation: electrical impedance
An example of calculation is given for the Visaton 170S loudspeaker. Volume of the enclosure considered here is 95 L and the dimensions of the vent are: length = 11 cm, diameter = 6 cm, which leads to the resonance frequency of a Helmholtz resonator of approximately 27.5 Hz. Impedance of the vented enclosure shows two peaks wich leads to the presence of two resonances, contrary to what happens with a screen-mounted speaker or sealed enclosure.
